Okapi Knives – which is a registered trade mark – have been manufactured in Solingen, Germany from 1902 until 1987, after which the knives were manufactured in South Africa, to the same specifications and standards of quality under German Management.
Traditionally the pocket knives are used by the lower end of the market for which a knife is a necessity. The knives are used for everything and this is the reason they have Carbon Steel blades which are much stronger than Stainless Steel and achieves a far better cutting edge, which lasts much longer.
OKAPI Knives are distributed not only in South Africa but in many countries throughout the World.
